UP: A section of the recently-opened ‘Bundelkhand Expressway’ collapses; Opposition criticises BJP

After a piece of the recently-opened Bundelkhand Expressway collapsed on Thursday, the opposition parties in Uttar Pradesh have criticised the BJP regimes in both the state and the federal government. The expressway, which was damaged at Chhiriya Salempur in Jalaun Tehsil, was opened by the prime minister last week.

Videos shared by the Samajwadi Party and the Aam Aadmi Party demonstrated repair work being done at the damaged part of the expressway with the aid of a JCB.
SP stated via Twitter that rains had revealed the Bundelkhand Expressway’s unfinished state. The BJP was charged by the party for deceiving the populace.

Bundelkhand Expressway Route:

The 296-km-long Bundelkhand Expressway, which was constructed for about Rs 14,850 crore, runs through seven districts in Uttar Pradesh: Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya, and Etawah.
From NH-35 at Gonda village near Bharatkoop, it runs┬аin the Chitrakoot district to close to Kudrail village in the Etawah district. It then joins the Agra-Lucknow Expressway there.
The four-lane expressway was constructed with the option of being expanded to six lanes in the future.

The AAP poked fun at the double-engine government’s development efforts by asserting that they wouldn’t last even a week.
A automobile got damaged today after it became stopped in the damaged expressway segment, according to Navbharat Times. Authorities have now commanded an investigation into the situation.
