Gangsters Involved in Sidhu Moose Wala Murder, ‘Encountered’ by Punjab Police

In the village of Bhakna in Amritsar, a shootout has taken place between the Punjab police and the gangsters accused of killing Punjabi musician Sidhu Moose Wala.

Manpreet “Manu” Kussa and Jagroop Roopa, who the Punjab police had identified using CCTV footage of the murder of Moose Wala, are the gangsters involved in the transaction.
Roopa was killed during the confrontation, but at least three policeman were hurt during the gunfire and were brought to the hospital.

Roopa and Kussa belonged to the same gang, the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria. Jaggu is a member of the gang led by Lawrence Bishnoi and operates in the Majha district of Punjab. The “mastermind” of the murder of Moose Wala, according to the authorities, was the criminal Lawrence Bishnoi.

All locals have been told to stay indoors because the area has been blocked off.
The 29th of May saw the shooting death of Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, better known as Sidhu Moose Wala, in Punjab’s Mansa district.

The encounter occurred just a few days after newly appointed Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav met with Moose Wala’s family in the Mansa district on July 14 and assured them of a prompt and impartial investigation into their loved one’s slaying in order to identify and prosecute the murderer.

The musician was allegedly killed in retribution for the assassination of Vicky Middukhera, a leader of the young Akali, last year.
