A subway sandwich costs an Australian model 1.43Lakh rupees. The model was made to pay such a high price as a result of one mistake.
In truth, an Australian model by the name of Jessica Lee made a Subway sandwich at the airport without telling the customs officials, and when they discovered the sandwich on her, they significantly penalised her in accordance with the law. Lee has provided details on this incident. Lee posted about this on her social media accounts. Jessica Lee claimed that she was moving from Australia to Europe.
After an exhausting 11-hour flight, she purchased a Subway lunch at her layover in Singapore. He kept half for himself and ate half of it. She reasoned that if she were hungry, she would consume the leftover food.
The Subway sandwich, however, was not finished by Lee, and she also neglected to register her meal when she arrived at Australia’s airport customs. Lee remarked, “I didn’t tick chicken and I didn’t tick lettuce because I assumed the little declaration thing you do is for your carry-ons and your bags. As a result, a $2,664 fine—roughly Rs. 1.43 lakh—had to be paid in just 28 days. Jessica was also concerned about how she would pay her rent and this huge punishment because she had lately lost her job. “I fully understand that I made a mistake, and I accept responsibility by paying the fine. Don’t repeat my costly errors,” she said.
Reactions to the odd Subway sandwich news came in a rush. Some people believed Jessica should have been aware of the laws in her own nation, while others thought she ought to have received a warning before being subjected to the enormous fine. Some are also applauding the model for admitting her error at the same time.
