Wimbledon 2022: Novak Djokovic wins 4th consecutive Wimbledon championship

Top seed Novak Djokovic won his fourth consecutive Wimbledon championship against Nick Kyrgios 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-6 on Sunday. This is Djokovic’s seventh Wimbledon title and Kyrgios’s maiden grand slam final.

Australian Kyrgios breezed through the first, fully in command of his feelings and playing brilliant tennis. The second set saw him falling prey to his own on-court tantrums, all the while Djokovic was calmly treading towards the championship. Despite the emotional fireworks, nothing outshone the level of tennis both the players showcased: Kyrgios with one of the biggest serves in tennis and Djokovic as one of the best returners.
