Senior Karnataka IPS officer Amrit Paul was arrested in the PSI scam

Additional Directorate General of Police Amrit Paul was in recruitment department, after this allegation, he was transferred to the Internal Security Division. Due to high allegations he is suspended now. Karnataka Crime Investigation Department has initiated the investigation and we await, the conviction of the court of law proceedings.

WHAT HAPPENED
In Karnataka Police, the Police Sub Inspector (PSI) examination was held. 54284 students appeared exam. The total number of posts was 545. As a result intimated, a student named Veeresh top 7th rank. He scored 121 marks out of 150 marks. Suddenly, Optical mark recognition (OMR) sheets of Veeresh circulated on social media and he attempted only 21 questions. It is crystal clear, that OMR sheets have been tampered. The exam was conducted at ‘Gana Jyoti English Medium School’ in Kalaburgi, Karnataka, its owner absconded.

Many Deputy Superintendent of Police sub-inspectors and constables are being suspended. Optical mark recognition sheets have been tempered and resulted in fraud. The PSI examination has been terminated and nullified conduction of the next examination will be held soon. 40 Selected students have been arrested here out of 70 students.
Due to this PSI scam allegation lot of people gathered and knocked on the doors of officials not to reconduct the examination. According to preliminary reports per PSI, job bribe cost 70 lakh rupees.
