England vs India Test 5th Match: Jadeja’s century and Bumrah’s brilliant spell put India in a strong position on day 2

A day with a lots of entertainment, emotion and drama on the ground of Edgbaston at Birmingham. Bumrah and Jadeja dominated the second day of the fifth test match being played between India and England in Birmingham. Meanwhile, the drama of rain was also seen a couple of times. With the start of the day, Jadeja knocked the fourth century of his Test match career. And the entire Indian innings ended on 416.

When Bumrah, who was captaining for the first time, came to bat on the field, India’s score was 375 runs. Then Stuart Broad get the ball in hand and he entertained the crowd by scoring 35 runs in Broad’s over, the most runs in an over by any batsman in Test match history. Earlier, Yuvraj Singh had smashed six sixes in an over of Stuart Broad in the 2007 T20 World Cup. The day was not over yet, he was yet to bowl. From the very first over of the second inning, he took the ball in his hand. And showed Alex Lees the way to the pavilion. He showed the way to the pavilion to Alex Lees in his third over. He also took the wickets of Ollie Pope and Zak Crawley.

At the end of the day’s play, England are on 84/5., India managed to push England on the back foot and got the upper hand in the match. Siraj took the wicket of man in form of Joe Root and Shami finally had something to show in his 13-over spell with the wicket of the nightwatchman Jack Leech. Now England are in exactly the same position where India were before Pant and Jadeja came to the crease.
