38 Years Old Man Arrested On Terrorism Charges In Luton Airport By U.K. Police

According to Information, Police in Britain captured a 38-year-old man at Luton Airport on suspicion of assisting terrorism, according to a statement from the Metropolitan Police.

Aine Davis, who was arrested, is thought to have been a part of an Islamic State (ISIS) cell that executed hostages. The four men who were in Syria with ISIS were dubbed “The Beatles” by hostages due to their British accents. The Metropolitan Police in Britain announced that they detained a 38-year-old man at Luton Airport on suspicion of aiding terrorism.

The police statement did not provide the identity of the person who was arrested. It was reported that a man had been held at a police station in south London, “in regard to offences under section 15, 17 and 57 of the Terrorism Act, 2000”.

Reports stated that, after being released from a Turkish prison where he had been serving a seven and a half-year term for his conviction on terrorism-related charges, Londoner Davis arrived at Luton Airport.

The Islamic State cell gained international prominence after releasing videos documenting the 2012–2015 murders of four Americans: journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff, along with aid workers Kayla Mueller and Peter Kassig. The other victims included two British aid workers and two Japanese journalists.
