According to sources, in Budtara village, which is part of the Ahore police station in Rajasthan’s Jalore district, a 15 years old girl was allegedly killed by a stalker close to her home on Friday, according to the police. Budtara is a village.
They say that Purshottam Valmiki, the accused, who was about 20 years old, started chasing the girl as she went to hide behind her house. He then swung a sword at her neck, quickly murdering her.
As per Additional Superintendent of police (ASP) Anukrati Ujjaniya, the criminal threatened the residents while carrying the sword in his hand. But, he was caught and brutally thrashed by them. The young girl was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
The suspect was taken into police custody and later detained shortly after the incident. The girl’s body was given to her family members on Friday following a post mortem. The victim’s uncle Aada Ram filed a case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) Sections 302 (murder) and 354 in accordance with the ASP (sexual harassment).
Ujjaniya, further stated that, the suspect was forcing the girl to love him, per the initial investigation. He was arrested after the girl’s parents earlier reported him for harassment.
